Jul 02, 2016 Canon iR1018 printer shows download standby instead of starting up my printer canon iR1018 shows download standby instead of starting up, why? This thread is locked. I have a machine it write DOWNLOAD STANDBY.Hw may i do it.
I fixed the problem: 1. Unplug printer from power source and wait a few minutes. While waiting, restart the computer (I didn't shut down and reboot, just restarted it.) 3. Plug printer back into power source. Do not turn printer on immediately.
Instead, hold down the STOP key on the printer and keep it pressed down as you turn the power button ON. Keep holding the STOP key down until the printer has completely booted up, then release it. That got everything working again and allowed me to print my document.
I am facing this problem canon ir-2016 display showing download standby not work all keys.erroe red light glowing ani body help me thanks.did u just install a Printer Kit?? The Display will show 'Download Mode' or 'Download Standby' even though the imageRUNNER was not put into download mode. This may also occur after installing the updated Printer Kit-J1 [0446B005AA].
