Installing libusb-win32 and PyUSB for the MD380 Tools under Windows. Python md380_tool.py spiflashwrite user.bin 0x100000 SPI Flash ID: 10 dc 1. Jun 11, 2018 Windows 8.x/10 Support. Libusb was tested under Windows 8 and Windows 8.1, for both 32 and 64 bit, and no issues were found.NET support. A.NET version of libusb, called LibUsbDotNet, based on libusb 1.0, has been developed by Travis Lee Robinson.
The problem is that i didn't include libusb0.dll and libusb-1.0.dll files in PATH environment variable location (.) PyUSB module will check for libusb0.dll and libusb-1.0.dll files (which act as backends) in the PATH environment variable and in C: windows System32 locations and then establishes communication with USB devices. Since i'm using libusb-win32-wizard for creating device drivers it uses libusb0.dll.
The process of execution can be found using following DEBUG program: import os os.environ['PYUSB_DEBUG'] = 'debug' import usb.core print list(usb.core.find(find_all=True)) The favourite file manager (not 'Explorer'!) found dozens of those DLLs splattered all over the place - 'Windows DLL Hell' at it's finest!
Windows 8/10 Installation Installation for Windows 8 or 10 (Continued) Open the folder win8 and run the zadig_2.1.1.exe program you'll find there. Answer 'No' to the question about checking for updates. In the window that opens, choose libusb-win32 (v1.2.6.0) in the field to the right of the green arrow, and press the Install Driver button: A window should pop up saying 'Installing Driver.' And then be replaced by one saying 'The driver was installed successfully.' Close that window and then the Zadig program.
At any time, you can check to be sure that your robot is recognized by the operating system by going to the Start menu and choosing Computer Management. In the left pane, click on Device Manager.
